a light in the dark
one · by · one
For every project I find a dark or dated site, research the business (and the competition,) and create a custom redesign before ever reaching out. There is no pressure to buy. I need the design practice and I am getting it by helping out my neighbors. My sites are lightweight and easy to install with your web provider. Installation can be included with a premium package, but my first love is the design.
bakery & espresso · somerville, ma
A corner bakery running on three broken images and a PDF menu. I gave them a warm, fast one-pager with live hours, online pre-orders, and photography that practically smells like butter.
record shop & hi-fi · est. 1998
A legendary crate-digging shop stranded on a 2004 Flash site. New: a moody, electric storefront with searchable inventory, an in-store event calendar, and a "now spinning" feed straight from the counter.
plant studio & pottery
A tiny plant studio with no site at all — just a busy Instagram. New: a lush, calm shopfront with a care-guide library, workshop booking, and a plant-finder quiz that routes you to the right leafy friend.
Streetlights is a one-designer studio. I find businesses whose websites went dark years ago — or never got switched on — and I build them something modern, fast, and unmistakably theirs.
I'm early in my design career, and I'm honest about it: you get obsessive attention, current design instead of a decade-old template, and a price that reflects a designer building her book — not an agency billing for meetings.
no meetings, no template,One designer, one project at a time. You're not account #4,000 in a queue — you get my whole attention, start to finish.
Built with today's tools and standards — fast, responsive, and made to still look right five years from now, not five years ago.
You own the files, the domain, the words — everything. No lock-in, no monthly ransom, no holding your own website hostage.
every site researched, designed, and built with care.
If I emailed you, your new site already exists. I researched your business and designed it before we ever spoke. The screenshots are real — your new site is waiting for you and is easy to install with your favorite host. No fuss, no waiting.
You decide on your package and say the word. I send the payment link and files the same day. Most of my sites are slim enough to install yourself on your host, but I offer a premium package that includes installation if need be.
You own everything, the site is completely yours. No subscription, no strings. The only trace I leave is a discreet footer credit line — "Site by OAM," with a little link back to my studio. I even do a "did we miss something?" pass after launch.
